The past few years have been a challenge for our parent group, but our parent group has remained determined to support Woodland Hills Academy.

Last year we were able to order and sell a large quantity of our uniquely designed Spirit Wear, T-shirts and Sweatshirts which students are allowed to wear on Friday spirit days. In November we held a See’s Fundraiser which raised almost $5,000. During the holidays, we provided gifts for the teachers and staff and hosted an end of the year staff appreciation luncheon. We also financed 8th grade graduation activities including games, lunch and special artists who came to the school to entertain the students.

Friends of WHA was a financial backer and participant in the  school resource fair which was a huge success and very much enjoyed by all the families who attended. Most importantly, our parent group was able to successfully fight a proposed charter co-location which would have gone into effect this school year and taken valuable resources and classrooms away from our students.

Although the past couple years we have been unable to host many of our traditional events on campus due to Covid restrictions, this year we look forward to a full re-opening and, with your help and support, plan to host a myriad of fun and educational activities for our students.

Please join us at our Monthly Meetings: 2nd Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Parent Center. To join remotely, email FOWHA91367@gmail.com for the Zoom info.

We look forward to meeting you and working together to support the best kept secret in the San Fernando Valley: our local neighborhood school family, Woodland Hills Academy.
